Connect a Tool
Step 1 — Go to Tools
In the Console, click Tools in the left sidebar.
Step 2 — Choose a tool
Click the integration you want to connect. Each card shows:
- What the tool can do
- Required permissions
- Authentication method (OAuth or API key)
Step 3 — Authenticate
OAuth tools (GitHub, Slack, Google, Atlassian, Notion): you’ll be redirected to the provider’s login page to authorize Auteryn.
API key tools (Datadog, Sentry, custom): paste a token from the provider’s developer settings.
Step 4 — Set permissions
- Click on the connected tool → Permissions
- Toggle each permission on or off
- Save
Step 5 — Enable for your agent
- Open the agent → Tools tab
- Find the tool and enable it
- Save
Revoking a connection
- Go to Tools → [tool name]
- Click Disconnect
- Confirm
This removes the connection for all agents in your organization.
Troubleshooting
The agent isn’t using the tool
- Confirm the tool is enabled in the agent’s Tools tab (not just connected at the org level)
- Explicitly mention the tool in your message: “Use GitHub to check the open issues”
OAuth token expired
- Go to Tools → [tool name] → Reconnect
- Re-authorize via OAuth — this refreshes the token without losing your permission settings
